In my opinion have a lot in common. Doctors on the cutting edge of doing tremendous work with Autism treat-guess what? Yes! The GUT! When working on an autistic child's gastrointestinal tract, the autism improves.
This is really amazing work and what could be more important than saving a child's quality of life?
Anyway, this is an interesting read and gives a lot of food for thought.

A topic very close to my heart. The only thing more devastating than realizing I had a chronic condition called IC was being told a few months later that my son was "on the spectrum" and that there wasn't really anything to be done about it. It took me a while to put the pieces together, but I absolutely agree that my imbalances had a direct effect on his health. I have no idea why, but this is not something I have ever run across in any of my reading, except for 1 book that kind of danced around it. Improving my son's diet and continuing to work on healing his gut has made a world of difference, he would be the first to tell you how much of a difference you have made in his life : )
Thank you!
