eye twitching and other symptoms

I know someone already mentioned eye twitching in a earlier post somewhere, but I'm wondering if anyone knows the reason WHY?  What is the connection with the treatment and the twitching?
I've been with Matia for almost 2 months and am on list 2.
I've had a few cheats recently (don't get me started on the guilt!) around my birthday, but other than that have been very good. Aside from the eye twitching, I'm having serious carb cravings and an almost insatiable hunger.  I want to die when I walk down the street and see kids with ice cream cones (I live at the beach and it's hard to deny yourself such a lovely summertime treat day in and day out).  When I'm home and not around others, my sweet cravings aren't too bad....carbs are a different story, however.  I'm eating potato chips like they are going out of style (never ate them before this diet but they are one of the only "snacks" I'm allowed in moderation) which I'm sure is a bad thing but they don't seem to bother me. I wonder how bad they are for the yeast, however.   Some days I just feel like - I made it through another day with no sweets, I'm going to reward myself with a few potato chips.  Either that or I'm just so ravenous and they are right there, quick and I don't have to create some difficult tasteless rice cake concoction.  I have burning mostly in the early morning and once in a blue moon, when I have a great day, I look back at what I ate, and it's NO different from what I eat on the somewhat worse burning days.  I can't figure it out.  My diet feels like groundhog day but sometimes I feel better than other times.  So then I think, ok hormones perhaps?  Anyway, just ranting and wondering about other's feelings on these things. Thanks!

I know in the past i have had eye twiching from lack of sleep and stress. Make sure if your not sleeping you take time out to meditate that can restore your body. Know that you are going through changes and there will be a healing crises invloved. Alow yourself to take the time it needs to recover with out putting standards on yourself now.
FOr the food i think a lot of us go through that extra carb craving in the early stages. It's normal but just try to balance it out if you can. Eat more smaller meals instead if you can. Eventually your body will balance out and you will not need to chomp on those chips like that. Maybe you might try to portion them into bags a head of time so that you know when to stop.
I know when your around others it can be hard not to be jellous of them. Whatching them go about there normal lives eating whatever they want with out being sick. Well I tell you most of them have digestive problems and they just aren't fessing up to the fact that all that crack food is making them sick. I try to remind mysel in that time that I am working on steps to improvement and it's not worth the reprecaution to my body. I remind myself that this is not forever and that I will be able to enjoy treats of a different kind. The healthier I get the easier this becomes. It is the yeast talking though and you neeed to tell youself that because you don't want to give into the yeast. See it has a mind of it's own and it will play tricks on you like the devil iti is a live toxin taking over. DON"T LET IT WIN TAKE IT TO THE MATRESS.
I know it feels like groundhog day I have used that expression myself my whole life feels that way at times. You are so early in this program who knows what will unfold at this time. Bless the food you have and remeber it is healing you now. Tell yourself it is not forever and try to learn ways to make the same foods taste different. This will make a cook out of you if you are not. When you do get to have a new food it will be like a baby tasting all over for the first time and you will enjoy your food much more then ever in the past.
Try to be loving for now and just know it's not forever.

I'm not sure what the eye twitching stems from, but I know I also get it. I am 4 months into treatment and it started a few weeks back and seems to come and go out of nowhere, for seemingly no reason. Also, it's only in my left eyelid. I find it kind of strange and plan on asking Matia if she has any idea why this happens.

Ha!  Mine is only in my left eyelid as well.  There must be a reason and I've tried looking for maps of the meridians to try to trace it out myself (to no avail) and see what other potential problems could lie ahead for me, just so I'm prepared.  It's less anxiety producing to at least expect or not be surprised by these random die off symptoms.  Even though I'm only on list 2, I love to cook and am finding very creative ways to eat, just feeling a bit monotonous.  While it's sad to be missing out on all the yummy tomatoes and corn in season right now (and berries), I'm discovering vegetables I didn't really get into in the past, such as eggplant and cabbage.  Grilled eggplant and zucchini are my saviors!  I just made a hamburger (with fresh sage chopped up and mixed in) on the grill and used 2 grilled eggplant rounds as the bun!  Topped with a little avocado, it was delish!  Also, Giada deLaurentis had a great show on today:  tilapia with thinly sliced potatoes as a crust.  I thought -- wow, I can actually eat most of that right now!! How great!  I'll try it soon.I hope to try the brown rice flour pancakes someone mentioned on here this week...though I'm not sure what to put on it, but I guess nothing will at least be better than yet another egg for breakfast!  Maybe do a sausage patty in between 2 pancakes?

Weird! I wonder why it's the left. I had a month or so where I had intense itching on my right shoulderblade and it ended up being the small intestine, and also itching on my upper lip (large intestine). THe meridians are so interesting, but I can't really figure out all those connections on my own either. I wonder if anyone knows any good sources/books with this info??Your food sounds very similar to what i was doing and still do. i loooove eggplant! IF you can have red bell pepper make a roasted red pepper sauce and eat it with your burger or make an eggplant sandwich! I posted the recipe up here. This may seem weird but a really hearty breakfast could be mashed up avocado with cilantro, salt, pepper (if allowed) on top of your brown rice pancake and then an egg on top of that. It's tough before list three to have anything to put on "pancakes" in the traditional sense, but once you hit list 3 you can put yogurt/blueberries on them. Also, you could make spelt pasta with sage butter sauce and sauteed veggies! Even though I'm on 3 I stick to a lot of meals I did on list 2. Strangely you find those simple combinations end up being the most satisfying. Some foods you try later end up not being as exciting as you thought they would be... at least that's how it's been for me. Although, i have to say I can't wait for spices, cocoa and lemon and lime. Those are my favorites that have been missing (especially for baking).

I know this is old, but I am having eye twitching like crazy in my LEFT eye as well today and yesterday. It is freaking  me out, it is almost constant!

I had eye twitching for a few days at the beginning of treatment.  The bladder and eye are somehow related in the Chinese model of the body.  It freaked me out too.   This problem went away in a few days.

I haven't started treatment yet so no herbs but I still get eye twitching in my left eye from time to time.I have had this twice in the last couple of years lasting for about a month and then it just goes.I have never thought it would be anything to do with my bladder though - how bizzare!

I look up eye twitching, and this is just weird. I am seeing Matia for the first time this Friday, and I have been on list one for almost 4 weeks now. My LEFT eye keeps twitching the last few days...Now I want to know why!  : )

I have the left eye twitching to...I started the program in November. Apparently it can be caused by lack of potassium which you find in things like bananas, which we arn't allowed boo hiss! But it's flipping aggrivating as I feel like I am winking at my work colleagues all the time lol! Usually it goes off in a few days but it does pop up every so often

welcome to the eye twitching club!  No really, ever since I began treatment I have had my left eye, my butt, my legs, my thumb, and sometimes different parts of my face and lip spasm.  Just another weird die off symptom...at least you knwo you are already in die off, just from the diet!  That is encouraging.

That is encouraging... now if I can just get enough energy to take care of my daughter and go pee all the time! ; ) I swear, I feel like I have lead in my blood the last 2 days. All I want to do is sleep. I feel lifeless. : ( Please let that be die off too!
