COLD and tired

Hi all: I.m thinking this is a symptom of die-off, but would sure like to know if I am alone with this. I was beginning to relax with the awareness that new energy was here, feeling not too bad, and beginning some postponed chores. Wham, I began to get very very cold (coldness has been one of my symptoms off and on, but not as severe as this). It is almost painful sometimes and no relief even with wearing a jacket, wool socks and blanket in the house. My hands are very cold ,...husband jumps when I touch him so not imagination.  I cannot bear an open window or door. Hot water bottle seems to help a bit and of course total surrender to a hot bath. With this comes fatigue and inability to think clearly....so frustrating, but par for the course I guess. It's the coldness getting worse that is upsetting. Does anyone have any input? experience the same or similiar?

Lolo - I used to be so cold all the time. It could be 90 degrees and my hands and feet would still be ice cold. My body temperature was also very cold, I would usually have 2-3 layers on even in the summer. I remember being this way for most of my adult life. Matia was not surprised when I mentioned this as a symptom, My hands would get so cold that my fingers would turn white and numb. Make sure you mention your issues with coldness to Matia when you have an appointment. We had to work pretty long and hard to get my temperature to improve. I remember the first time I had warm hands, I was so excited because I knew it was a sign that my body was healing. You will notice improvement as you start to get better. The fatigue and brain fog you are having will also get much better. I had a lot of that in the beginning of my treatment.

I too suffered from feeling very cold- I live in southeast part of the US which has very mild and short winters but cool weather and seasonal changes as well. I seem to do better when its warm and hot. I visited up north at christmas and found the cold physically painful. I wear alot of layers still although my body temperature is better and my hands and feet are less cold. I layer so much that my friends have nicknamed me "cabbage"! I have always been this way and tend to tolerate the sensation of being a little too warm quite well. It seems like some people can tolerate being a little on the cold side but not me! Also I have felt that the pain I suffer from- pelvic/vaginal/bladder has a very cold and stagnant/numb sensation to it. This is totally a die and treatment process sensation- the exteme tiredness and feeling cold are not uncommon sensations. I bet there's an herb Matia will add to your formula to improve things- I don't have alot of body fat at this point so I tend to feel cold a bit but my energy has gotten better and the brain fog is lifting too. I'll have periods where this comes and goes depending on the formulas and treatment process. You are normal- don't be scared - it sure is annoying espeically when you want to feel more productive. The brain fog getting better has been very gradual! Thanks!

Thanks to you Honeybee...I am so grateful for this forum and the chance to check things out with other ic ers. To know also that this "comes and goes" is very helpful as I was alarmed at it's return with a vengeance.

Hi:  I am Liz from Los Angeles and have been seeing Matia for 2 months.  Cold/chills has been one of my symptoms.  I am glad that Lolo shared on it.  I read the newspaper's weather report each morning to decide what I should wear and I hate opening freezer door.  I do warm up during the day, but I keep a heater under my desk.  I have lost alot of weight which Matia says I will get back once my body is healthier.  I am constantly eating. I am between List 1 and 2. Everything I eat is either organic or  NO pesticides/antibiotics  Breakfast:  2 egg omellete with spinach, kamut toast/organic butter, organic rice cereal. Lunch/dinner: New Zealand lamb chops, roast beef, chicken, shrimp w/garlic powder, turkey, hamburger, fish, chicken soup, small organic Klamath Falls potatoes (Trader Joe's), Thai Pad rice noodles (Trader Joe's), vegie sticks made from zuchinni/yellow squash/cucumbers/celery, steamed cabbage, baked potato, brown rice,  baby bok choy, beef hash w/potatoes, salad, avocado, hard boiled eggs, baked potatoes, artichoke.  snacks: organic brown rice crackers/plain.  I just got back from a large food court and had to take my lunch because most of the food I can't eat. What a drag.  Listing the food above has made me feel better.  I do have alot to select from.  What do other IC'ers eat that are on list 1 and 2?Liz

I know we are all different in our food reactions, but can tell you that from your list, Liz, I react to spinach, vegie  sticks (it's the additives in ingredients, I think),  avocado and artichokes. I'm still trying bok choy and cabbage. I,ve found broccoli and brown rice cakes save the day with lamb, beef, poultry and fish. Lately a salad of iceberg lettuce and raw broccoli is a real treat (I can't handle olive oil yet, so melt a bit of butter and dribble on salad)I find rice cakes help a lot, with butter. I carry them with me all the time. Yesterday I was out for lunch at Smitty's (like the Pancake house) and ordered 2 poached  eggs, hot water and some butter. I pulled a rice cake out of ourse and enjoyed spreading egg on cake w/butter. Also a plain iceberg lettuce salad ...some carry a bottle of olive oil in purse. I have been in treatment for 8 months and back and forth trying foods. I am eating too much butter and too many rice cakes so in search of snack ideas.  I have regained lost weight and I think mostly it is because my body is using food better now, thanks to  Matia's treatment and the carbs helped too. After an appt with Matia Friday, an adjustment helped with the cold. I also found if I eat meat when the cold feeling is at it's worst..it helps..hope this does too..upward and onward!

It means so much to me to talk to people who understand IC. Where do you live?  Matia is amazing.I am very pleased with my progress in 2 months.  I am thrilled your coldness is already better and you are gaining weight.  Thanks for the tip on eating meat.  My vegie sticks are organic raw vegetables.  Will you be participating in the support group next Saturday?  Thank you again for caring.
