GROSSEST TASTING PROTOCOL

Forums:

I just wanted to share with people who understand.  I genuinely am taking the MOST disgusting protocol right now.

Aside from pros and other things in pills I have to take out of capsules:

Rhodiola (I believe it was Tinkerbell that described this as "crushed pouperie")

Goldenseal

AND cod liver oil

YUCCCCCK.  I'm chasing it with raw milk, reminds me of my drinkin' days : )

Thanks for listening!  I'm feeling lovely otherwise.

Oh YUCK! The goldenseal on its own tastes like crushed crickets to me...lol. I am supposed to add cod liver oil when it gets here and I am not so thrilled about that! Where did you order it from? I could not find it locally so I had to order it online....I think iherb. Anyway.... I am THRILLED to hear you are feeling lovely otherwise;)

I got it in a health food store locally.  Although, I'm hoping its the right one--norweigan cod liver oil from carlsons?  It totally has vitamin E in it though.

Oh man, that was me! I said it tastes like dusty potporri from some grandmas bathroom.... ugggg trully awful. But I have to say it does get easier and sometimes it has a faint taste of fall to me, like burning leaves and wood and reminds me of a pleasant time in my life, I know weird right!

Wow, Christine I am going to memorize that line and think of it as I force the goldenseal down!

So funny! Goldenseal is the absolute worst of the worst I think - crushed crickets is about right! I know others think RP tastes good, but I really don't - remember when I started taking it describing it to another UK patient as tasting of "old lady" (not that I've ever tasted an old lady, mind - and nor would I want to, now I've tasted RP!)

Hey you.
They do make Cod Liver Oil in caps - I take four of them to get 1/4 tsp.  This was approved by Matia - BECAUSE I KNOW! It is hideous!

Just wanted to say that I get my kids to take Fermented Cod liver oil which is truly nasty (or at least I assume it is because I don't take it yet) Anyway- I am proud that I get them to take it! (Even if i do bribe them sometimes! LOL)

Oh Denise!!!! Where do you get Matia approved fish caps? I bought the Carlson's plain cod fish oil she recommended from iherb and truly thought I would not be able to eat my lunch. I keep telling myself "I am an adult...just gag it down...uck" Yeah... so I have basically found out I am not much of an adult when it comes to my taste buds;)
Has the oil helped you? The omegas made my heart rate rapid (again) so we are trying the cod stuff to see if it behaves differently. Here's to another round of trial an error;) You had mentioned you are struggling with the anxiety a bit, but is your bladder/food tolerances better? I sure hope so! Always looking for success stories! As for me, I went off my heart medication this week and so far, so good.

I treat it like a pickle-back.  What I do is I take it like a shot--and then immediately chase it with raw milk.  The milk sort of covers the taste.
I just started it yesterday, so I'm not sure how its going to work.
I'm concerned about transporting it though, you know?  Keeping a bottle of cod liver in my bag during the day sounds like a terrible idea.

Thats a good idea, I might ask about it if timing my second dose becomes too difficult!
