I'm trying to figure out if it's the turkey indeed that gives me a reaction. It seems like I have flared after having 'regular' ground turkey with 'natural flavorings' in it, and not when I've had the natural stuff from whole foods or other natural ones. Has anyone else had this experience? Sometimes I just feel crazy trying to figure out what's caused a reaction, but I think I'm getting more sensitive and more in tune. Sometimes have trouble trusting my instincts.

I had this problem. They put rosemary extract in it to flavor it and while that may be "natural" rosemary is much too strong for us right now. I haven't tried it out but I think it still might be too intense for me. I flared on the natural and regular supermarket brands of ground turkey. I have not been able to find ground turkey without natural flavorings. I guess they think it tastes too bland without it?Mary
Trust your instincts....
I can relate to trusting your instincts. It's really hard sometimes to admit that simple things like olive oil, butter, or ground turkey bother you when they are so simple and good for you. I did this with different foods like lamb, olive oil, and different brands of chicken. Its really weird to be able to tolerate one brand or kind of meat and not others. I think the best thing to do is just keep trying different meats until you find clarity in which things bother you. Good luck! ~shar
I can't tolerate the ground
I can't tolerate the ground turkey or chicken. i do best when they are tenders. i think some of them use the skins so that might be something bothering you.
olive oil
If you cannot toleraste olive oil, do you cook your food in butter? What do you use on your salad? I am suspecting olive oil might be a problem for me. I am going to experiment with more light tasting olive oils first.
Ground Turkey
The kind with "natural flavorings"in it bother me. The other kind I get from Whole Foods that is very expensive, does not bother me. Why do all good things have such a high price..lol
