I had anxiety problems, and
I had anxiety problems, and when I took three pills of Cipro, it induced panic attacks for me for a solid month. And I mean three or four times a day, muscle clenching panic attacks. While clenching, I felt something happen to me in my rectum and vagina area that felt like constipation followed by shooting pains. The next morning, I also felt something rip or pop down there, but it didn't intially hurt. It felt more like relielf. But for the next three months, I had severe shooting pains from the rectum and vagina area, so bad I couldn't walk. I also had bad pelvic floor dysfunction, that I eventually connected to what I was eating. It seemed like what I ate affected how much my vagina would spasm. When the pain of that calmed down, I had symptoms that felt like a yeast infection that wouldn't go away after taking more antibiotics for a UTI. It may have been the original UTI that was never treated properly. The yeast feeling made me feel like I had to pee frequently. After starting Matia's diet, that went away. Now my symptoms seem to be connected to my intestines. I feel pressure in my bladder sometimes, but I figured out that it is digestion related. During ovulation last month for the first time, I ate something I probably shouldn't have, and I began to feel more severe pain during ovulation.
I am still having panic attacks about the illness, which is understandable, but I often wonder if the Cipro is still in my body. If you read the drug reviews for that antibiotic, they are scary. They cause lots of anxiety problems and lots of tendon related issues, and I've seen some mention GI problems.
I was all alone when I took
I was all alone when I took my first heavy dose of Cipro (for what we thought, at the time, was a UTI) and I thought I was dying. Came really close to calling 911.
It was awful and I can't even remember it all as I'm pretty sure I blocked it out. Terrible. I know a few others who have had awful reactions. You are not alone.
