Bug bites and stings?

I have been attacked by some type of bug. Have multiple welts a couple on my legs and one on my neck it burns, stings, and itches. What have others found safe and helpful for bug bites and stings?

I would try goldenseal - I don't have the liquid stuff - I just mix it with a little water and rub it on.  For me, the darned stuff helps almost anything.  By the way, any chance it's just your body getting rid of crap from the inside out and not a but bite?  I've had some weird skin stuff happen

Haha! I do have more acne at the moment but these are definitely bug bites. I know I think I will become a goldenseal pretty soon. I am looking a little yellow I am using it internally and all over my feet and acne. Thanks Denise!

CP I had welts on my legs that looked like bug bites. They were a bit itchy and very swollen and then they went away. I am wondering if this is more a healing reaction for you. Mine came after sleeping and I had them every morning in different places for about 5 days. Dr. B said die off/healing stuff. Especially bc mine were on my butt and back of legs and she said bladder meridian.

If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.

Thanks Mimi! Nope definitely bug bites, took my doggies for a walk and got eaten alive by several things I think. The grass was rather tall at the park and maybe not just the bugs but irritation from the long grass? Goldenseal it is. Might just start taking a bath in the stuff! Haha! I am breaking out though in the areas you describe so definitely something is coming out, but the acne doesn't itch, rather painful actually.

In the past, Matia has had me put goldenseal mixed with alcohol on my mosquito bites. We live near rice fields, and the wind blows in the direction of our house. Mosquitos here are horrific, and last summer I had a zillion bites, it felt like. For me, the goldenseal mixed with alcohol really helped me keep from itching all of my skin off!
