Organic or local produce - which is best?

Hi everyone,

 

What do you think is best to buy - organic (which may have plenty of accrued air miles) or local (fresh, eg, veg) produce which is not organic? What do you do?

Btw, I know that organic is preferable but if it's not looking too great, would you opt for local instead?
