As most of you know I dod not take people taking benzodiazpines. I could go on and on as to why, but, basically, it dirupts the body's nervous system so much that it makes it almost impossible for me to treat. It is possible for people having taken them for short term and coming off, but is still very difficult. The longer you are on them, the bigger the nightmare.

Now, dont get me wrong, I have seen instances where people have been convulsing and been given them and miraculously, the convulsions stop-this is a very good use of this drug. But, the chronic use of this medication is hugely problematic. I thought I would shre this story with you that was just given to me by someone else. It does not pertain to IC, but it does illustrate how adversly this medication disrupts the body and mind.
