Lip Stick

Chemicals that are contained in your foods are very relevant to your health and the same is true for the chemicals in your make-up and hair and skincare. There are numerous unhealthy ingredients in so many products that would be smart to stay away from for so many reasons not just because of your IC.

This article discusses the impact of a particular ingredient in lipstick, particularly the brighter colored ones. On that note, it is wise to stay away from brightly colored foods too (ask yourself if it could have gotten that color with natural substances).

I ask my patients to really limit their use of aethetic type things. All of the chemicals you add to your list of things you are exposed to on a daily basis will increase your chances of being unwell-i.e. nail salons, fancy make-ups, standard hair dyes and highlights and chemical hair treatments. But, these chemicals can be in your bathroom on your shelf too! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2190789/Can-lipstick-heart-problems-Shocking-new-research-reveals-chemicals-make-linked-allergies-arthritis-low-fertility-.html

I use the BomaMed shampoo, conditioner, lip gloss, and lotion... and for makeup I use Gabriel Cosmetics. I think you recommended them in an old post.

I agree I love the bomasense chapstick!
I know there was a blog a while back on nail polish. Have you, or anybody ever heard of or tried No Miss nail polish? I am looking for something safe that I can use for special events to cover my gross toenails!:P I can get this locally, but don't want to find out the hard way if not a safe option. Thanks!

I am not familiar with it, but, if it is natural, it is probably fairly safe to try. MAybe do one nail to start as a test. But it is not only the polish that is the issue, also the remover, so you need a natural remover as well.

I will give it a try! Looks like it has the same main ingredients as Zoya. I will be sure to look for a safe polish remover as well. Thanks!
