Massage and Physical Manipulation

The disease of IC emmanates from the small intestina and infiltrates into the lymphatic system, in my opinion. Because of this, modalities which create too much movment in the lymph can create a lot of flaring for various reasons as the lymph moves.

I have found massage to be very problematic and other physical modalities as well. This also includes things such as laser treatments, which are purported to be harmless, but have profound effects on lymph and on inflammation.

I have had many recent run-ins with this, as often I do because people think massage, even on themselves is innocent. But, it can really create energy and movement in the wrong direction and interrupt what I am doing.

Please, if you are doing anything of this sort, please let me know when we speak next and stop doing it in the mean time unless we have spoken about it and I feel you have reached a point where it is appropriate for you.

Thank you Dr. B! Before I got sick, I was thinking about having laser treatmen for my long-standing spider veins around my ankles and knees. Once I am finished with treatment, would this be an option, or am I to avoid laser for all eternity. I get discouraged when others are wearing skirts and shorts, and I am forever covering my legs :(

If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.

Varicose veins are a part of pathological build up in the body. In theory it should dissapate as you get healthier. I have not tracked this though. It would be good to take pics of them now and then after. The laser is a risk. I am not sure even later.
There are some things I just need to spend more time with.

Hmm, my husband gave me a massage a few weeks ago and I got pretty nauseous afterwards for about an hour.  I'm sure this is why. Thank you for sharing.
