More on Toilet Paper

Today I called the direct phone number in Ohio for Charmin and asked to

speak to someone in this country. She explained that the first list I

received included ingredients that used to be added to earlier versions of

Charmin. I actually do believe what she told me. Here is her email

recounting our conversation:

 

 

It was nice speaking with you today and I'm sorry the list you received

caused you some concern.  Per our conversation, here are the ingredient list

for Charmin Ultra Strong and Charmin Ultra Soft.

 

INGREDIENT LIST--  Ultra Strong

 

Processed Wood Pulp.  In NA we use virgin wood pulp.  Our products don't

contain recycled fibers.    Used to make paper from softwood trees (Pine &

Spruce)

and hardwood trees (Oak/maple.)

 

Wet Strength Polymer    Added to increase strength during wet use.

 

Adhesive         Hold plies together.  Present in trace amounts

Thank you to Matia and/or whomever inquired further. People may not post here but does not mean we're not grateful for your taking the time to get this info for all of our benefit.  There are so many things in the environment around us to watch for, it can get really overwhelming.

That was pretty much curious to read, I never thought about toilet paper from this particular angle but still, that was entertaining. Thank you for this post a lot!
