ICAMA, the Interstitial Cystitis Alternative Medical Association is very excited to announce that it has started a new support group. The goal of this group is to offer support for those in the ICAMA treatment and to offer outreach support for those wanting to learn ways of supporting their chosen treatment with nutritional and product use information. This group will be available for local people and with technology what it is, we are going to try and make it available for our long distance patients and interested people! Now that we have been listed on the ICA, Interstitial Cystitis Association support group site, the largest association for informaiton and support for IC, we are ready to go and will keep you posted:) You can find our listing at: http://www.ichelp.org/PatientInformation/LivingwithIC/Support/SupportGroupMeetings/tabid/253/Default.aspx

Matia Ideas about this site.
how is this group going to include longdistance patients?
I really think this web site needs a chat fourm Even if it is only open once a month it would be nice. just adding in a Java chat option would make this site so much better. Now that you will have more traffic I think It would be very benificial. IF we had a few different moderators we could even have a few different time zones I would be very happy to be a moderator. I feel strong about this that it would benifit your site. That is the best thing that the ICN has going for it that there are regualr chat times with several mods. I don't have anything in comon with those folks though so it's not really fulfilling and i don't like going there since they are not supportive of longdistance healing. The gizmo was a good idea but most of your patients don't know how to install those types of things. I personally thought it would be a good idea for you to be able to see us Matia but you need a really good camera for that. I installed mine and by the time I got my lighting so you could really see me I looked washed out. I am trying to figure the camera out better.
I have always wanted to hold my own local support group but I am still not finding anyone in my area to make it worth doing.

I am delighted to see this happening. Count me in, also, as an interested long distance patient.
Great!
We look forward to all of these exciting changes!!
