my backaches are definitely related to overall IC inflammation. I get pain in my mid back. In the beginning of treatment it was difficult for me to stand by the end of the day because it was so painful. Now my pain comes and goes and is much milder. Stretching sometimes helps. Carol 

I usually get lower back aches before/at beg of my period, but it's decreased significantly over the last year.
At the beginning of my getting really sick w/ IC, before treatment, my back ached so bad, I couldn't hold my body up completely, was hunched over.  That went away quickly after starting treatment.  I think it's related to kidneys??  Another good question for group call maybe.
These things & much else will get better!!

My back gets sore especially at the end of the day. When I am in pain, I tend to walk around kind of hunched over trying not to bump my pelvic bowl.
For me yoga does wonders and I got a massage thing at Bed Bath and Beyond.  It is the size of a small pillow and has 4 rotating balls inside.  I move this up and down my back at night and it massages the spinal muscles on each side.  It is amazing and really helps.   Your family can do it but they get tired of it. This unit cost $40 and was soooo worth it.
