My son has a stye in his eye.  How have you treated eye styes?

I have had good results with very warm washcloth applied to the eye for 10 mins X 4 time a day. You can keep the washcloth temp up by putting a hot water bottle against it. Use a clean washcloth each time. I have also used Similasan Stye Eye Relief drops. Not always easy to find. If you can't find it locally, you might order them to have on hand. They make a Pink Eye Relief that works great as well. It should resolve, or show signs of improvement after 5 days. Tammy

It took me 3 days aprox to get rid of mine. I used tea bags as well found this more gentle for my eye also i think the antinflamatory effects from the tea helped I used green and chamomile. I also used those drops that really speeds up the time. I bought mine at my regular super market was very easy to find. This was what my optimoligist told me to do.

This is a great idea. You can find a tea with healing properties, and it will retain heat. Thanks Nicole! You have such a wealth of information, thanks for sharing. Tammy

I have used witch hazel on a cotton pad and just wipe the eye (closed) gently a few times. It worked pretty well. I think having a stye shows ur run down so need to look at boosting immune system.

I had two styes when I first started with Matia.  My sister-in-law who is an optometrist thought I would have to get them cut out since they had been there quite awhile and would not leave.  I had tried the salve for styes, but nothing worked.  I got rid of them when Matia had me taking goldenseal.  My sister-in-law was amazed!  I haven't had any since.

Thanks for the advice.  His stye went away in a few days.  I was surprised at how fast it healed.
