Disney World

Hello Lovely Ladies,

I have been reading some of the recent posts and it is wonderful to "hear" your voices again;) I am headed to Walt Disney World on Thursday for four days. Have any of you gone to Disney World and found some solid meals for us to eat? Spring Water? Etc;)

I told the Disney reservation people about my food restrictions but as you know.... Our diet is a little confusing at first. I am also a little down because I am having the first flare I have had in weeks and I just found out about the new email policy, which, I understand but...... Does anyone know if the receptionists are reading our emails and determining if they get to Dr b? I am a little confused by this because Dr B has often said if I have any questions after one of our calls to just email her. Also, there are issues I write to Dr B about that I wouldn't feel comfortable with others reading...... Does this make sense?

Anyway, if anyone has a Disney suggestion, it would be greatly appreciated;) Thanks! Katie

I haven't been to Disney World on the diet, but Disney Land and even at the concession stands they were so accommodating! Totally worth the price of entry! The chef takes your order to your specific limitations and brought it out personally tto confirm he had everything correct! I just brought my own water into the park. I hope you have a great trip:)

Thank you so much! It sounds as though the parks are very accomodating ;) I hope it will make the trip a little less stressful to have the food issue dealt with.

Update! Hi Ladies, I wanted to take the time and post that our trip to Disney was amazing and so was the food service! The chefs were incredibly attentive and understanding;)
I am sending healing thoughts your way;) it is not an easy road but after 1 year and 10 months, I can truly say I feel well. I certainly still have health issues that I am working on but the day to day feels normal- not incredibly scary and unknown;)
Happy Monday,
Katie

Hi KAtie! Thanks for posting!

If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.

Hi Mimi, My pleasure:) I love your quote;)
Denise- How are you doing? I certainly hope you are well! Your posts are always incredibly insightful, honest and strong. Even though I don't post here often, I think of the group of us that chatted quite frequently and frankly, I don't think I would have stuck in this treatment without "you". Thanks for that; )

Hi Mimi - I too love your quote - I actually think of it quite often.  For me, it's been SO true.
Katie - thanks for your kind words - it means alot.  I know that there were others before me that made it possible for me to hang in there - that sent me E-mail when I thought that I was losing my mind.  I am mentally so much better.  As for the bladder - better than when I started - never have been in the amount of pain that some people go through.  However, it still flairs.  Finally after battling a UTI with herbs for six months, I caved and took antibiotics.  Dr. Matia now has me on new herbs to transition from the antibiotics.  In reality, I'm kind of tired and bored of this whole thing - don't have time for it.  Which, I think is a transition in itself.
I am so happy that you are doing well - always enjoyed our chats - you have such depth and heart.
Take Care
