Hi! I've been on list 1 of the diet for 3 weeks now, while I wait for my appointment in April to see Dr.Brizman. I just have a few questions -
Is it normal to have an upset stomach for the first while on the diet? I went from only eating chicken for many, many years to eating red meat as well, so I'm guessing it's an ajustment to that and the fact that my whole diet has changed so much? My stomach isn't terrible, but definitely gassy and I alternate between a bit of diarrhea/constipation (sorry!). Does this sound normal?
Also, since starting the diet I feel my bladder pain/urgency has lessened a bit, however, I'm now feeling a lot of pelvic muscle spasms and soreness that I haven't felt for almost a year! If my bladder is doing better why would the muscles feel worse? It's so irritating! I feel like I can't relax those muscles and it's starting to hurt my back. I'm trying to stay away from all medication, but I've got to admit I've taken the odd muscle relaxant (Flexeril) here and there. I'm concerned Dr. Brizman won't be able to help if I have pelvic floor dysfunction, and I've got myself in a panic about it all. I'm scared this might lead to uterine/bladder prolapse and I'm only 22 :(.
Anyone have any words of advice or similar experiences? Any responses would be appreciated. Thanks!
