Hi there,
Has anybody reacted to oil of oregano? I had a feeling I was getting an UTI this weekend and I thought to try with 5 drops 3 times a day. I’ve been taking it just for 2 days and last night I got an awful rash in my leg. I had to stop it to see if it’s related... I have my 1st appointment with Matia in 3 weeks and I cannot check it with her yet.
Could you help me please? I have issues with high salicylate foods-herbs and I think that could be the cause... Perhaps I’ve been taking a high dose. My bladder feels much more better after the oil of oregano though... I wish I could take it in a regular basis.
Thanks
Sonia
Hi Sonia The Oil of Oregano
Hi Sonia
The Oil of Oregano has strong anitfungal qualities, so the rash may well yeast die off.
It is a good sign that your bladder feels better for it though, this will be good information to give to Matia when you see her.
Best wishes
Carole
allergic reaction
I wish this would be a die-off Carole... but It looks like dermatitis to me and pretty bad, I couldn’t sleep because of the itching... I’ll check with Matia indeed. I just wanted to know if anybody had this reaction before and then got better after adjusting the dose.
I have to say my bladder is in really good shape today, I’d love to continue with the oil..!.. :(
herbs
Don't take them without being under Matia's care!! Stop the oil of oregano and just wait the few weeks! Good luck by the way!
oil oregano reaction
Yes I know..... But when you have that horrific feeling of pins and needles crawling to your bladder you want to make it stop. :(
The rash is gone after quitting the oregano... And it wasn’t an UTI anyway. I think is yeast or bacteria coming from the vagina that travels to the opening of the urethra and then to the bladder... Always the same route. First feeling irritation in the opening vagina-then urethra-then pressure and pain in the bladder. Bacteria or fungus or both at the same time.
Yes I know I can’t wait to see Matia...! No more guessing please... Thanks god we have the ICAMA forum though. Thanks!
