It is all too weird these days. A year ago I started the diet and for a year, several times a week I ate either brown rice veggies and chicken breast from health food store "Rainbow Acres" that is one block from my office OR I would have salad from their very plain salad bar which I would augment with things like yogurt or goat cheese. Day in, day out. Often I would look covetously at their other hot foods but it was no way; pepper, EVO, mysterious spices and food that were not on List 2 and so on.

A year later,  my knees swelled up walking the 1 block (2 total back and forth) from the office but I realized that I could go to their hot food counter and order almost anything from the hot food options (as long as no soy etc.) so this is what I did, returning with salmon, brown rice and two exotic side dishes of veggies which had things like pepper in them. (Side note, they were way too greasy.)

Point is, as the rest of you have expressed, I just don't get it. I spent a large part of last year with a heating pad between my legs. Now my thighs are toughing it out alone under the covers because the same heating pad is between my knees. .?.....
