did anyone have die off present as a cold/ allergies/ sore throat? I have been sneezing and blowing my nose alot (5-6x/hr). I have had hayfever and have taken Clariten/Allegra/Zyrtec daily for at least 10 years. I quit because Matia said it would be good to cut down. I just quit cold turkey. IN has lots of leaves and allergy stuff now (no frost yet). Maybe I should wait for winter. I also have a dog and it could be her. I have not been off allergy pills in years. If you think this is just temporary I can tough it out. I would love some opinions.

did you talk to Matia about it? Also if it is your dog there are alergy shampoos you can get at the pet store. You just rub it on. I used to do this for my cat allergy but I no longer have allergies :). When I left FL is when I got IC but my allergies didn't follow me and now that I am back in FL they seem to be gone still. I don't know what Matia does about them. I had always taken homopathics for mine. I would talk to her and who knows I have had die off like that in the past are you sure it's allergies. If you had allergies in the past you might get die off in that form on and off to get rid of it. I know there are other people who deal with this more then I do though.

Before I started with Matia like 6 years back but when I was really beginning to struggle badly with chronic illness I had developed severe allergies to my environment ( house and work and to foods.) I was popping Claritan just to get through my day. It was so bad that I began treating with a naturapath for yeast syndrome and moved out of my apartment which was seriously causing and aggravating my allergies. Turns out it was seriously infested with mold and fungus. I got better with the initial yeast cleanse from the naturapath but I went right back to my old ways of eating and got worse again over time. Fast forward to Matia- I have had in the past 1.5 years of treatment - allergy like symptoms come up in die off phases then pass but I actually noticed that the allergies and hay fever I suffered as a child and later on in adulthood have yet to come back. Every spring during the pollen showers in SC everyone is losing their mind with allerigies but I am all good.;) I have certain symtoms on rare occasions- like itchy back of throat - itchy red eyes and runny nose but it always passes in a few hours or days now. I have heard many times that patients who go through this treatment resolve lifelong allergy problems as a bonus to improving their GI function, bladder and VV. It's a normal die off symptom and you are not alone! ;) Mary

I had been on antihistamines for several years before starting treatment with Matia. I weaned off them gradually and haven't had any trouble. It was in the middle of the summer. I think it may have been worse if I had tried this in the spring. I went off sleeping pills first since Ambien can exacerbate allergy symptoms. Hopefully, your allergy symptoms will pass soon. If not, send Matia an email.
