When do you contact Matia?

This is going to be a broad post and I realize there might not be a "right" answer, but would love to hear other people's thoughts-especially people far into treatment.

I often wonder when to contact Matia in between appointments. I have been in treatment for a little over five months and while I have seen other good results ( for example: I haven't been sick at all since starting treatment- with colds, flu, etc- which I used to be plagued with, I got my peroid naturally FINALLY last month, after not having had it for about 7 years- I had been on DEPO birth control all that time, which stops your period, and everyone I know constantly tells me how great I look, etc), I haven't seen much movement with my bladder- I am pretty much constantly uncomfortable, not pain really, just that pressure like feeling. I am seeing Matia every two weeks and there are times that things become a little more uncomfortable and I will email Matia and she will switch my herbs up. Sometimes I will email her everyday and she continues to switch things up, but I never truly know if I should email her or push through or what to do since I always seem to be waiting for it to completely go away (which I know is NOT going to happen, no matter how much I wish it would). That I have to be patient and that it is a gradual thing.

Basically what I am trying to get at is- has anyone been here and know that feeling (I'm sure everyone has!) of being unsure how to be an active participant in this process? Sometimes I feel like if I am not doing the right things- contacting Matia when I should be- I will be slowing down the process. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I contact Matia if a new herb dose irritates my IC symptoms or I get sick.  Some people also contact Matia if their die off symptoms are too intense.  Most of the herbs are working in your small intestine so improvements are not usually felt right away in my experience. If you have an appointment with Matia every other week, you could also send her an update on your progress on the off weeks.
