Naturtint Hair Color

Me again, this time inquiring about Hair Color.  During my last appt with Dr. B, she not only approved me to start List 2, but also OK'd me to get my hair colored.  Its been 7 months and my grays are out of control.  My issue is that even though I know Naturtint is appoved to use, I have major dry scalp but more so, really really bad patch of psiorriasis.  Dr. B told me that this is common for IC patients.  My concern is.. what if I flare up?  The good news is that I'm off work this week, have a color appt this Friday with my stylist.  I think the psioriassis has gotten worse.  So much so that I emailed Dr. B and havent heard back since she is officially on vacation this week.  would you gals risk getting your hair colored with approved color even knowing you have this on the back of your head/neck?  I'm constantly itching it and its scabbed.  Ugh.  Thoughts?  I'm going from low lights to an overall darker shade since I cant get low-lights anymore and my natural color is black (going for dark brown).  For those that have colored your hair recently, what tips can you share?  A gal at work told me to go 1/2 inch from scalp but that just seems like a total waste of $$.  Any feedback is appreciated.  Thank you

Hi adrianne,
I find naturtint is fine but ive had problems with herbaltint & henna strangely enough.cld you not take couple of boxes and ask salon to use naturtint on you? I use a ash blonde mixed with a light chesnut for highlights underneath and a darker chesnut for parting & that stubborn side burns bit.  Works really well? Also maybe just get them to do the 1/4 inch thing on area thats the worst?     Best of luck louise.
