Hey All, anybody out there have teeth that chip REALLY easily and frequently? This has just started for me in the last year. Several times I was biting my nail/cuticle. Other times, I was eating something sort of hard (nuts, granola). And one time, just seemed to happen out of nowhere. They are tiny chips but some go into the dentine (I think that's the word for what's right under the enamel) and these hurt so much, give me a massive headache that doesn't go away until the dentist bonds and covers the dentine. I am at the dentist so much for this! Thankfully he's my mom's friend so he fixes me up for very little $$, sometimes nothing. I am also wondering about my teeth sensativity. My dentist says people chip their teeth all the time and don't even know it because they don't feel anything. I can't believe this!! The second my teeth chip, I feel it! Even if it doesn't go into the dentine, I still can get a constant headache. I do have jaw problems (popped the disk out of my right jaws about 5 years ago) but never had teeth issues like this before.

I've always had a jaw that clicks sometimes. It's been happening less since staring treatment. I grind my teeth and clench my jaw a little at night. Matia says this is tied to the bladder.
I had never really noticed until I read your post, but up close I do have a tiny tiny chip on one of my front teeth and it appears that the enamel is definitely wearing thin. I'm 37 years old and have had plenty of dental issues in my life. I fell in the tub at age 8 and had to have my front tooth filed down and capped. No root canals for me luckily but I wonder if there's any connection between that tooth trauma as a kid and IC? Thanks for posting, I will have to bring this up next time with Matia.
