Hey Deir-

I can't email you on here for some reason.  My fiance has an ear infection, and you said you had some holistic methods of dealing with this?  He keeps taking Ibprofen, it's so ridiculous.

I use homeopathics for ear infections and they've worked every time. But they are unique to each person. For one kid- Erysidoron (not spelling it right) worked, for the latest ear infection- my son took Hepar Sulphuris. If you do a search online you can often find the right remedy. I think abc homepathics has a program where you insert the symptoms and they give you the most likely remedy. My kids go to a Homeopath for regular care.
 
I also truly believe chiropractic works for ear infections but I htink mostly kids because of how the anatomy is. Also the old remedy of garlic in warmed olive oil often takes away the pain.

Just to add to Deir's mention of garlic for earache...my grandmother used to put the warmed heart of an onion in my ear for earache when I was a small child. It really works! As an adult I use a clove of garlic in the ear, esp overnight, - it has never failed!!! No side-effects and very little cost and every kitchen has onion or garlic.

mmm...good to know. i'm a little bit afraid to put garlic clove in my 2 yr old daughter's ears. i'm afraid it will go in the ear canal. i do want to try it because sophia gets an ear infection quite often...and about 4 days earlier, she woke up in the middle of the night complaining she has an ouchy pointing to her ears. i felt helpless. i heard about this, but so new to me. how would i do this?

I would just email Matia to tell her, now that Sophia's a patient, and she'll switch stuff up.  I used her remedy (that she gave me 2 years ago) on my fiance, and it worked like a charm.  
 
Belladona did not work for me personally as a child--neither did homeopathy in general; I really think it depends on the practitioner--I went in the days before the internet.  You're lucky to have Matia so close by. 
Ugh, ear infections truly are the WORST.  I hope little Sophia feels better.

Junie- You can just put garlic in oil, heat it gently and put a few warm drops in her ear. But also- you've got Matia!

I've successfully used a homeopathic called Belladona for an ear ache.  Homeopathy seems to work well for a number of things.  I've used it for years.
