I am not sure I am using right sort of Goldenseal. I am using Eclectic Institute Goldenseal Herb Hydrastis canadensis Leaf. From what I read here, I may have to use Goldenseal Root. Can someone please help?
Also, is there Goldenseal that I can take without opening caps? I guess that would be from Bomamed. Can someone confirm please?

Matia has me use the Eclectic Institute freeze dried goldenseal ROOT. My bottle says 400 mg. per capsule. I think I got it from I-Herb. It is in vegetarian capsules, so what I do is empty the contents out and put them in empty gelatin capsules that I buy, or I put it in water. It isn't pleasant tasting in water, but you can get it down.

All this time I was under the impression that Bomamed's capsuls were safe for us. I took a lot of Bomamed products and never opened caps. Was I wrong? :(
Is there a standard rule about the caps? I am a bit confused.
Goldenseal
Any capsules you get from Bomamed should be okay unless Matia says not. Her formulated herbs are in gel caps. Some of her herbs are brand names though, and those you would need to read the bottle to see what the capsule is made of.
