some intersting stuff about healing

Forums:

I am not sure which forum this should go in but I thought it was neat. I recently read an article about unexpected healing from cancer. These are patients who were not responding to conventional treatments but somehow found remission or healing. The author isolated several very strong themes or beliefs from 70 patients that the patients and their healers believed contributed to their unexpected healing.

Belief 1. Change the conditions under which disease thrives. "the most successful recoveries seem to be strongly associated with major mental, emotinal or physical behavioral changes"

belief 2- The body, mind and spirit are connected and well being can permeate all three levels of awreness

belief 3- Illness is a blockage or slowness in natural physical health: health is associated with movement

also there were also  practices that helped these patients:

1. primarily eating a whole foods diet

2.deepening their feeling of a divine loving energy through meditation, prayer or contemplatin throught the day

3.intentionally look for reasons to feel love, joy and happiness in even the smallest details of their life

4. relese repressed emotions such as fear, grief or anger

5. took herbs and vitamins to support teh release of toxins and help the immune system

6. took control of their health decisions

7. found social cupport from others

This makes me feel good because even though I have not improved by leaps and bounds I feel like I am doing all these things to the best of my ability. Therefore- I am determined that with the help of Dr Brizman and God - I am going to be healed. it just isn't on the timetable that I expected.

Hope this helps someone else too. Just by seeing Dr B- we are fulfilling several of these ideas.

it was from Well Being Journal. I got it at Whole foods. From what I can tell  from one issue- it seems like a worthwhile magazine. I think I am going to subscribe
