Does anyone out there eat a whole lot of buffalo. I have been eating buffalo for a while now from whole foods. The past couple weeks I have noticed it is a fattier looking color and more greese comes off of it. My bladder has been bothering me for a while now and I am starting to wonder if they swiched providers of the meat. I called and they said it was the same. I wondering if they are just feeding them more grains due to the economy or season change. Has anyone else noticed a different in the meats they eat?
Buffalo
I've eaten bison off and on. It is supposed to be less fat than beef. I do okay on it, but I don't eat it on a regular basis. I can eat chicken once in awhile, but it bothers me some (didn't used to). I can't eat turkey at all as it gives me a bladder flare. Pork flares me too as does fish. I do seem to be able to eat shell fish though.
I am curious about buffalo as
I am curious about buffalo as well as duck. In general, are we supposed to stay away from fattier meats?
I remember reading an article
I remember reading an article about bison and how they don't have a fight/flight response, therefore healthier to eat since they don't release fear hormone that toxifies the meat immediately. I also thought they only live in high grounds and are grass fed. But i might be wrong. Nowadays, nothing surprises me.
