Oh boy- I am about to leave my vacation 4 days short because it just isn't good. I haven't felt well the entire time and to top it off the kids have had vague stomach things going on too. Anyway a few sort of funny things (at least to me)
1. Yesterday I saw a girl with a shirt that said "Ill" I think it is a hip hop philly thing but that cracked me up thinking that I should wear that shirt then maybe I'd get some sympathy for this invisible illness!
2. I saw a guy wearing aMOdell's sporting goods t shirt that says "Gotta go gotta go gotta go " (to Mo's but still the gotta go part is funny if I wore it)
3. My sonn has a belly ache and loose stool and he was crying and I said, "It's ok to rest when you don't feel well- I do sometimes" He said."But you don't have to go to the bathroom all the time!"
Give yourself a pat on the back.....
Hi Dier
I think it is brilliant that despite adversity you are seeing humour around you, which I found really funny so I think you should give yourself a pat on the back for your resiliance and rising above the dissapointment....it's inspiring.
Sorry you had to cut your vacation short and I completely sympathise. I booked a vacation last year and had to cancel as I was just not well enough to go and this year didn't want the same dissapointment so did not book anything and am glad because I too have had a really bad time of late. Had been making progress and felt I'd reached some mile stones and then bang, after a wonderful day out with my daughter 2 weeks ago have been going steadily down hill ever since and bladder worse it has been since March, but I'm trying to remind myself as Matia says that the body is dynamic and that so many of her former patients said there were times when they thought they were going backwards but they reached balance and freedom from pain in the end.
I hope you start to feel better soon and can enjoy the rest of the summer with your wonderful family.
L xx
OK, these totally made me
OK, these totally made me laugh- thanks for sharing. Your son's comment was especially genius. I was so amused that I retold these to my boyfriend, who sort of rolled his eyes and said "ah, IC humor, hilarious." I guess it takes a certain mindset to appreciate these things.
I hope everyone in your household is feeling better!
