Hi,

I am having a difficult time finding organic, omega free, non-vegetarian fed eggs.  I have been eating whole foods organic vegetarian fed eggs.

Any info on what brand and where you have found them would be so helpful.

Thanks

Breis

My Whole Foods carries pastured eggs. I believe they eat much less feed. Can you ask WF if they carry a pastered egg brand like Vital Farms? Look for "pastured" on label. Also, do you have a farmers' market? Sometimes farms bring their eggs. I think any eggs are ok if they don't say high omega 3. Most chickens are fed some soy feed, but Dr. B told me to avoid the FLAX feed which is in the eggs labeled "High Omega". So regular commercial, hormone-free eggs should be ok. I just prefer the taste of the pastured eggs and hope you could find some!
Hope that helps!

I see you posted at around the 4 month mark and were concerned you were not making any progress. Now you have been in treatment for over a year. Do you mind me asking how you are doing now? Would LOVE an update!!
Thanks for considering!

Hi Mimi,

Thanks for info on eggs!
I have been in treatment for 14 months.
There have been many hills and valleys for me.  Little did I know the spiritual journey this treatment would take me on.
I believe antibiotic and steroid use as well as unresolved stress for many years have been a major contributer to my IC.
My IC started six years ago as a UTI.  I went the conventional route of antibiotics and then a cystoscopy with some insallations.  I knew this was not going to work for me and sought out natural and holistic practitioners.  I only got worse.
I can say I am much better than I was 14 months ago.  My bladder is better but I struggle at times with IBS - C, vulvodynia, itching, rashes and muscle loss in one eye.  All of these symptoms are better than they were.
One of the biggest blessings this treatment has given to me is the ability to slow down and recognize the gifts that I am given.  I am so grateful for Dr. Brizman and all of you.  It has opened my eyes and let me take a real good look at myself and the life I haven't been living - just surviving in for a long time.
It has never been about not trusting this treatment or Dr. Brizman - it is about letting go of what I can't control (the pain, the fear) and trusting myself.
As it has been said - she is an angel that has come into our path - and we are blessed.

Hello!
I was also having a hard time with the eggs... jeez isn't it amazing how hard it is to find un-tampered with, natural food these days? Hmmm...
My solution was local farms. I don't know if this is an option for you. I have a good friend who is an organic food farmer, SO EXPENSIVE, 7$ a dozen at the store, 5$ at the farm itself. Fortunately I have another friend who raises chickens who's giving them to us for free... but the only other option I had found was shopping at the local coop with local farm products, or the 5$ a dozen deal!
"deal" Ha. I'm so glad to hear you're getting better! Continue to do so!

Breis, thank you for your candid update! Continued healing for you. It sounds like you have made a lot of progress and who knows what another year of healing will bring you? Hopefully more and more relief!
What a wake-up call this protocol is. Some days I can't believe I have this imbalance (just got symptoms 5 months ago) but I don't know what horrible turns my health would have taken if I had not embraced this protocol, so I am grateful to be here...

Some of us have an option to keep our own chickens. Check with your city regulations. My city allows chickens.
