A lot of us have PTSD issues associated with our IC experience. I was discussing this with a good friend who is trained in PTSD issues, and she recommended this book. It's called " In an Unspoken Voice: How the Body Releases Trauma and Restores Goodness." I haven't read it yet, have only read the first chapter for free on Amazon. I've just ordered it. I wanted to share for anyone else who might be interested in learning more about this aspect.
Thanks for the recommendation

Thanks for making me laugh
Thanks for making me laugh Deir! I'm doing EMDR therapy right now for my ptsd stuff and I find it very helpful, but the "p" piece is kind of a misnomer and we're definitely running into some road blocks since I really have "tsd" just like you!
thanks for the tip! I have
thanks for the tip! I have wondered if I will struggle with this once I'm healed (or at least a fear that it's simply a looooooong remission), and I wonder if the stress of worrying it will return could in fact make it return! lol I think my main triggers are stress and hormones (diet never really affected my symptoms much), so it would be good to have a way to combat at least one of those! :)
This is an excellent book.
This is an excellent book. Tinkerbell as you're looking into this stuff you might find these of interest, EMDR has helped me. And I begin TRE this week. Run past Dr B as always if thinking of anything - but might help some.
