Hi All,
Hope everyone is ok today. Just wondered if anyone has recovered from histamine intolerance? I know it is part of my damaged gut situation. But it is getting difficult.
I am down to just fresh meat. no fish or shellfish. And non histmaine green veg. I can't have any yoghurt, nuts, gluten, eggs. My throat closes gets loads of mucous, heart rate rises and get deep gut pains and my yeast worsens.
Things seems to be getting more limited. Has anyone had this and gotten through? It would really help to know.

Hello! I am working on this myself. On a very limited diet as well. The ultimate goal is to eat without these reactions from food. Dr. M says this will definitely improve, just takes a lot of time a patience. :(

Thanks for the reply. I am in treatment but my foods have become more limited. Dr M is brilliant and working with it. But Just wanted to see if anyone's intolerances got way worse - but then better. It's the better part I'm hoping to hear about! :)
. My yeast and leaky gut are very bad I know - my bladder is thankfully stable but yeast and auto immune stuff really stubborn. Joints, intolerances, heart stuff, yeast infections, all that lovely stuff doesn't want to shift yet. Onwards we go. Was interested to see if anyone had the histamine thing.

Mine has gotten worse too! How long have you been in treatment? I have been in for over 3 years and food list is becoming very limited also only eating bison, cooked celery, baby corn, avocado, and cabbage. I don't really tolerate yogurt but still eat it because I don't know what else to eat for breakfast. I have a lot of yeast issues, joint pain, bladder pain urgency and frequency, diarrhea and vomiting and terrible menstrual cramping. I don't have the better thing to share yet! I so wish we both did.

Sorry, I know sometimes it can be slow. My bladder is improving but my toe fungus and joint pain is still only improved a little bit. I have had other improvements as my skin is less oily (although still prone to clogging) and my gum health has improved and my bowels are better so we will get there!

Thanks for the info. Cprince I'm sorry things are so tough.
I know Dr M does'nt feel tests are beneficial or necessary - and I know they aren't for her program as they treat the whole organism. But I think I'm going to get my metal levels tested and a comprehensive stool analysis as I've spoken to other patients who tests have helped. I just feel that the more knowledge I have about my particular set of imbalances the better equipped I am to choose a path that works for me. not saying this won't - but if this continues then I would like something else to try potentially. As Dr M says - her treatment isn't the only treatment. We have to be really careful becasue of bladder and auto immune issues. But I am happier when I know more about what's going on and have a potential route. I know it is Western and not Eastern philosophy to have tests - but they are a fantastic tool sometimes. And I guess each of us is so unique maybe we do just have to feel our way about what's working and isn't so well. x

ps - i DO think this treatment will work - I am just interested to learn more. As for me knowledge is power and could help guide my treatment with Dr M, or help my understadning of her treatment through discussion.

It's incredibly frustrating and scary but I am hoping that it will just stop once we turn a corner.
Dr.B just told me that I have become more sensitive to things as my body changes and that means that we need to focus on something else in treatment, like the next step. For me, she added in bif so I think that she felt we needed to clean the large intestine.
What did she tell you both about why it is happening??

I should add that it has not been all downhill with food. Not at all. Foods that I could not tolerate before, I added in , during the fall season and it was amazing. Bladder was happy on those foods! I ate them daily though and did not switch it up ( I ate them like they were going out of style)....and so I think that I developed a sensitivity because my gut is not healed enough yet to tolerate that much of something. Now I try and vary it a bit and we are working on buildling my immune system up so that I don't have those reactions in the future. I do believe it gets better- it's all a process though to get up there.

Hi Pixie! Food has kind of been down hill for me. Dr. M has also said that tolerating bif and JP were going to be very important things to help push me to the next level and eventually help tolerate more foods. Unfortunately I haven't been able to really tolerate either, bif really bothers my bladder and JP really irritates my liver. I am a little unique though with pretty significant liver issues. Dr. M has admitted she is having a difficult time figuring out my strong imbalances. Something is very off, but just haven't been able to unlock the tangled mess, but know eventually we will get it figured out and will be eating all foods and enjoying a pain free life. It is always interesting to hear what Dr. M has to say is important for each of our individual imbalances and what our bodies need. I was talking with a patient of my own at work who also works with a Chinese medicine practitioner and she said it's those things we have a strong reaction to that our bodies are so craving, and sometimes it's pushing through to have that break through. I keep reminding myself of this each time we try to add something in that causes pain or strong reaction, that it's not necessarily and bad thing it's just a sign that our body really needs it, but maybe just not the right time for our over reactive inflammed systems to handle at the time.
