Raw milk

Hi all!

I know many of you are not on raw milk, but just wondered if anyone could give me their thoughts. Most of the time it seems I do really well with the milk, and really has helped with my raw stomach feeling, but recently seem to get flares of my IBS, getting nausea, intestinal cramping and diarrhea pretty shortly after taking my protocol, which is now just cod and milk. So, perhaps just that combo of the two causing me fits? I have been getting more reflux and esophagus pain after taking my protocol, but I recently returned home where I get milk directly from the farm instead of store bought raw milk. Do you think the farm fresh milk may just be stronger, as far as probiotics, and my body is just needing some time to adjust? Anyone else experience these things while on raw milk? Or think it could be the cod? Thanks!

Maybe the farm milk is a little stronger (as in more flora??). Can you tell Dr. Brizman? I think some people later in treatment could give you more feedback as most of us are not on raw milk. Could you  try taking it out for a day, or go get some store-bought and compare?
Where did you get store bought raw milk when you were traveling?

If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.

Thanks Mimi! I have decided to ask Dr. B since most don't have experience with milk. (Btw, didn't get the automated response, so wondering if it went through? Have they stopped sending the automated response?)  I was in CA so could just buy in the store, but can't buy milk in the store here.  Seems like there shouldn't be a huge difference, but don't know how long it takes for the milk to make it to the stores, but here I am picking up the day the cow is milked. Took me a few days to adjust to the taste again, has a little more of a grassy/earthy taste to it compared to the store bought. Whatever is causing the pain can really take a hike! Grr, so tired of trying to figure this out!

My family has used raw milk for many years as we live near a biodynamic Rudolph Steiner farm. The reason the milk may taste bitter is because the cows are eating out in the meadows this time of year which include lots of herbs. Maybe that's why you are reacting to it. Just a thought. I always liked the winter raw milk because they just ate hay and the milk was sweeter tasting. As far as my own personal reaction from drinking it, I just get more mucous in my throat when ever I have any dairy products. I would think , tho, that the fresher the better for you.

Thanks Sue! Yes, I was just describing to someone that milk seems to taste better during the winter months! It just always takes me a few days to adjust to the taste, then doesn't really bother me. Hoping my body starts adjusting back to the fresh milk, a 3 month hiatus on store bought raw milk has thrown my body for a loop! Yes, fresher is usually better! The pain just causes me great anxiety, but know that pushing through some pain can only help me get to the next level of healing, at least I hope!
