Ozonated Olive oil?

Hi ladies,

My skin/neck issues have worsened.  The EmuAid helps relieve dry skin and itchiness only to a certain point.  Dr B mentioned to try PurO3 which is an ozonated olive oil.  she mentioned some other patients have used it with great results.  I searched on the site but didnt come up with any results so I must ask if anyone has tried it?  I am so extremely frustrated with this issue.  I itch to the point that it bleeds.  UGH.  But my bladder has been calm.

Does anyone have ANY info on this ozonated olive oil?  or, anyone have Lichen simplex?  I'm getting so close to giving into using antibiotics!  I dont want to but this is really not working..

Hi Tommygirl
You might go visit the Paleomom.com. She has Lichen Simplex and I think she has put it in remission with the Paleo Immune diet for a few months. It is a pretty restrictive diet, but doable. Look at the diet and check with Dr. B. It should not conflict, it is just restrictive in different ways. I am doing paleo mostly with a little rice right now for my acne. It is not bad at all. The immune protocol is a bit harder than basic paleo and means taking nightshades and nuts out for a while (maybe a long while...sigh). Alot of people with immune issues do well to try this (IC in general i think is on the auto-immune spectrum)
Also, I have been doing a ton of research on oils that are high in linoleic acid. Most skin LOVES this kind of oil (cold-pressed hemp seed, sunflower or safflower oil). They are the highest concentration of linoleic acid. Email me if you want more info. These oils are used with VERY good results for acne, psoriasis and eczema. It is worth a shot. I would try this type of oil for two weeks. It is supposed to be incredibly soothing. Let me know if you want recommendations.

Maybe spot check the hemp-seed oil. Ask Dr. B about it. She let me try a few drops for my acne. You do NOT need to slather it on. Just a few drops on your hands, rub hands together and apply. Cold pressed are stronger oils, but you are further in treatment so I bet it wont be an issue. Let me know if you try it!

I have more studies, but this study has some lichen simplex studies as citations so I thought it was relevant.

Thank you Mimi.  I really appreciate your feedback.  I am going to look into Paleomom.com and also the other information.  I'm just not understanding how I can be the only person with IC that has this?  Can that really be possble?  If you can envision it, my neck skin looks like thickened, itchy lizard skin and it constantly itches.  I know that I need to control the itching but its crazy, I cant.  Anyhow, I'll check into this and reply feedback.  I too have wondered if it has to do with eating alot of white basmati rice, too many chips, too much granulated garlic??  I dont know.

Hi Adriane! I know seems like you are alone with this, but I have a very ugly R foot that is covered in yeast, scaly, itchy, and now is cracking and skin is very tight and shiny and skin pigmentation seems to be changing. I have been really worried about scleroderma being an issue with all my digestive issues and extreme yeast issues in my esophagus. Dr. B assures me this will get better and our skin is just a major source of the die off with our imbalance. Very frustrating I know, but I understand where you are coming from. I finally gave up those pesky chips. That was not an easy task!:(
