Hi, I just had my appointment with Boaz. He's amazing and I'm so ready to get started. I feel overwhelmed and anxious, but ready to start this path! I'm just needing some encouragement. Vulvodynia, chronic yeast, and painful vaginal symptoms are by far my worst symptoms and what I fear, more than anything, won't go away. Is there anyone who's been in treatment for a while, done with treatment, etc who's improved or completely recovered from these issues in addition to the bladder? I'm so ready to feel like a healthy, normal woman again and to be able to do normal things. Thanks everyone. I feel so fortunate to have found this place.
Hey Knparker!
Hey Knparker!
I've had IC for 13 years. 10 of those, I had mild vulvodynia and 3 severe vulvodynia. I've been in treatment for a little more than two years. When I began treatment, I couldn't even sit because of the pain. For the last two weeks, my pain level has been around a 2-3. I can sit, drive, walk, and have (modified) sex with my husband. I am looking forward to having normal sex, and I am confident it will happen.
You are in good hands with Dr. B!
If you want to email me and talk about specifics, I would be happy to. :)

Hi knparker, and glad to hear
Hi knparker, and glad to hear your appointment went well! :) I have chronic yeast issues for who knows how long, since high school, so at least 15 years. I had couldn't sit or even think about sex before starting treatment. I have been in treatment almost 2.5 years. I have made progress with the severity of my symptoms regarding vulvodynia and burning, pricking, itchy yeast issues, but still have a long way to go. My symptoms are to,enable throughout the month and the week leading up to during and a few days after my period are by far the worst for me. Before treatment it was constant and could not concentrate on anything, but the pain, burning, and itching. It will get better. You are in great hands! Like Lisa feel free to email. I am very willing to be more specific. Safe travels back home and happy healing!
Thanks ladies. Lisa Ann, I'd
