Some good news

Hello ICAMA people,

I wanted to share some good news:  I'm pregnant!  Right now I'm just over three months and am feeling great.  Originally I wanted my IC to be completely healed before we tried to get pregnant , but at 35 years old, we decided that fairly under control was good enough.  So far, everything is going great.  We got pregnant after only 2 months trying and I've had very few IC symptoms so far, even though the first trimester is apparently really tough with the huge spikes in hormones.  Dr. Brizman has been there for me every step of the way, and I'm so grateful to have such a good positive force for health on my side.

I know there's still six months ahead of me and things could still get bumpy, but I wanted to share the news with you all.  For me, this is a confirmation that my body is getting healthier and that I can still live out my life despite having IC.

That's wonderful news Lauren! :)) Congratulations to you both and I wish you all the best luck through your pregnancy. It's wonderful to have Matia's support and expertise and please share this wonderful experience with the rest of us occasionally when you feel like posting as my husband and i will be hopefully on this journey soon next year. Awesome! Let this be a wonderful confirmation that you work as a woman and that the pelvis is a happy place on your body! I find with this condition we can feel robbed at times of our womanhood. Pregancy is the ultimate female gift. And I hope you feel wonderful at all times! I loved being pregnant!
