So I just used Naturtint yesterday on my hair. First time I've EVER used a box dye... I'm more of a natural hair color girl, but I was feeling adventurous. Anyway.. while I was processing the color, lots of strands of hair were falling out! This startled me, but it eventually stopped after the dying process was over, and I'm not bald so I'm fine. But now today, my scalp feels itchier than usual. I thought maybe the dye dried out my skin, so I used extra conditioner this morning during my shower, but still itchy. I'm on List 4, and it hasn't seemed to affect my bladder... just an itchy scalp. Since I'm not a box dye expert, I'm curious to know if this is normal with box dyes?? Or has anyone else ever had this happen? This obvi isn't an emergency, but I'm just curious about it?

Hi Tinkerbell. I have not had that issue yet with Naturtint. I have used it twice over the last year and a half and did ok. I plan to use it tomorrow and will let you know if I have the itching problem. I used to get itiching so bad when I had the expensive salon dye.

Hi Tinkerbell! I have been using this product since the beginning of treatment. I think it depends on what color you use. If I remember right there were a couple colors (in the reds I think) that bothered some patients. I use 9N with no problems. I hope the itchiness clears up soon! So happy for you to be on list four. :)

thanks ladies!! Mrs A, I remember hearing that a patient had issues with the copper Arizona color... I used 5N, so not a red. It's not the worst itching ever, but I was just curious if it was common. she approved me for this almost two years ago, but I never tried it before. Thanks so much for the insight!
