Hello All,
I need a little cyber hug today. I have been doing for the most part very well. The flares have become less aggressive, and farther in between. I was really feeling like this was "going away." I suppose it's what we all hope for...
Then there was Disneyland with my kid on Saturday, and not so great food choices, and an outing with friends on Sunday, and not so great food choices (yes, I need to be better about bringing my own)...these are two things that would have been much too difficult for me four months ago, or even two...so it's blessing I could even participate. Also, during this time I was on the cold protocol-GML and Ear etc...and on that combo I felt zero bladder pain!
But then...after all that, back to the bladder protocol and...wham! A big fiery bladder that feels like it is trying to spit something out. Anyone know that one? Yep.
I guess it just feels frustrating. That we do seem to pay for the stuff that many take for granted. Often I have to make a choice...participate and possibly pay or stay home and hear all about it but have no pain. Generally I feel grateful to even be able to make that choice now, and in such a short time...but there is whistfulness and now with the pain it makes it harder...sigh. And every time I have a bad flare like this I need the support.
So cyber hugs would be great...
Love and light,
J
Hey J, consider yourself
Hey J, consider yourself cyber hugged! I completely understand your frustration and here is the good news....... You have improved so much that you know your body is responsive to the protocol and will be even better very soon! Katie
Yay! Thanks for the hug Katie
Yay! Thanks for the hug Katie! :)
Sounds like you are doing
Sounds like you are doing really well! Consider it a learning experience- you can go to the event but you gotta bring your own food. ((((HUG)))))
Hugs to you!
Hugs to you!
I don't understand completely your post. What do you mean "Not so great food choices". Did you eat something that is not allowed on the protocol or did you eat further up the lists than the one that you are on? Trying to understand how you flared.
xo
If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.
Hi Mimi,
Hi Mimi,
Meaning there are things that are questionable, and when I am out, there is sometimes no way to check if it is truly safe even if someone says it is. So for instance, when eating at Disneyland I ate a hamburger patty, no bun, no tomato, no sauce, but then I don't know what it was cooked in. So no, can't really have that. So for Disneyland (Whenever that may be) I have to bring my own food.
At the visit with friends there were veggie chips that I was told were just baked, so I ate the veggie chips that were the ones I can have from list two so maybe not those. Also there were very salty potato chips. Too much salt can flare me, I know this, so I do know I went over that edge.
Also I walked two miles on a beach. Beach walking can flare me because of the movement-the sand shifts and I guess this can irritate my bladder not sure why maybe bc of pelvic floor muscles.
I think the combo of mystery burger, too much salt, and a too long beach walk did it to me.
Also, hormones flare me and I am 3 days before my period.
So there it is no mystery at all, just was feeling frustrated. Thanks for the hugs guys! Thanks Mimi! And the support. XO
Love and light.
