Hey-
Is anyone interesting in participating in a semi grey market activity? Ordering from Bomamed is so frustrating because of high shipping costs! Maybe if we have extra bottles of something, we can ship it for cheaper to each other--and trade something of equal value. Lately, I've really been feeling the financial drain of this treatment!

I dont know why she just doesnt use the flat rate boxes from the post office. they even pick them up for free. it would be so much cheaper and i think more people would order from bomasense as well.beck

The pills will not fit in the flat rate box unless she uses the med size kinda bulky. But she could do regular priority boxes they still get shipped out to her all the same. I did put in my zip code for this I weighed 4 bottles and it came to 5.50 for priority said to arrive in 2-3 days. thats a savings of 20. I am sure there are envelopes as well now I looked at the flat rate envelopes and that wouldn't work but the priority envelopes would work and they could ship them to there office free of charge up to 20 at a time only is the thing about this. Also when I did this myself it took about a week for them to arrive so I am not sure that would work out they may have to have someone go to the post office and pick up the envelopes because I am sure they go through more then that and even if they put the order for the 20 in and then orderd right away I dont think that would work out.I don't think they are willing to go to the post office bottom line NOW I have no problem going to the post offfice gaffling them up and shipping out a huge box of them lol. THe next thing I have been told reason why they do not use USPS is that they can not garentee the package arival well there are tracking codes don't cost anything and I have done this from my home so I am not sure why they say this. I don't know if FedEx insures the herbs so that they don't loose money if they loose a package. I have had a lost package and I ended up getting free herbs.

Honestly I think they get a deal with fed ex I have talked about this with them to no end. It never makes any sence to me. You can order post office boxes via internet get them delivered to your location and arrange for pick up print out lables just like any other. I would still want to have the option to over night but hell the post office is much cheeper. I have just made a habbit of always ordering 4 bottles at a time. No matter what I always end up needing them at some point I seem to change my doses often

I hope we bring this up at the next call. She would make so much more money if they would lower the shipping cost, (my opinion) I would buy her soaps and moisturizer if they shipping was a normal price, the cost of shipping is all that stops me. She is so patient friendly, it seems odd to me this huge thing would be overlooked.

This whole business is indeed not cheap, however, I would be careful about trading... It seems just as I am wondering why the heck I have this herb and have not used it, Matia puts me on it again... so I am glad I end up having it. Maybe a better question to ask is what "staples" we should always have on hand.
I won't be able to be there
I won't be able to be there for the call but definitely want someone to ask! I haven't ordered one thing from bomasense just because of shipping and not being able to combine it with my herbs orders. I sometimes wonder how much this has slowed my progress and I'm still using regular brands for most things. So frustrating. I am feeling the pinch and am so glad that Matia actually hasn't changed my protocol in over a month!! Woo hoo!! I haven't had to order from her in a few weeks and that is something nice and new! From what I understand she doesn't have a lot to do with the running of that office...she always has me talk to the front desk for assistance with anything, especially related to shipping...so maybe this does need to be brought up with her as our main concern, especially in this economy! The post office would be a great solution!I agree that it's probably good to have some of the main herbs on hand just in case as I do notice also that she goes back to some from earlier in treatment. Sometimes I joke and say...gee, Matia, I have a ton of Ear formula, wouldn't you like to put me back on that for a bit?!? Happy Monday :)

The buy two get one free was a "mistake". Lynn said that it was supposed to be on BomaSense not BomaHerbs. Bummer...i was looking forward to a little bit of a a price break. She said that their tech guy made a mistake by putting it up on BomaHerbs, and that in a couple days they would have the sale on BomaSense products. Haven't seen it yet though...
I agree, would love to find some way to get those mailing costs down.

I totally can not afford the shipping costs anymore either. I've been trying to get the flat rate boxes sent to Bomamed so that Lynn will have them there whenever I need to order. I'm doing this through my USPS online account. The postperson will drop them of for free. The first time I had them sent, Lynn said she never got them. The second shipment of boxes is "in process" to her right now. When/If she gets them, the plan is to email her a preapid label, she will print it out, stick it on the box, put my order in the box and send. I did have to send her an email stating that I wouldn't hold them responsible if the shipment was lost though. Fine with me. I've never had problems with flat rate boxes. We send products out to our customers in them all the time. Matia really needs to know how big an issue this is for all of us. It's VERY stressful and it really doesn't need to be. I haven't placed an order for herbs in months because of this and I am out of some pretty important stuff right now!!

You are sending the prepaid sticker to Boma med and having the usps mail send the boxes to boma med. What size did you do. I don't think her bottles would fit in the small one. it would be the med box. If your doing a prepaid lable too and you have tracking they should not have issues with finding a lost package.
I have ordered flat rate boxes for myself in the past it takes about a week to 10 days for arival just FYI

On the call???
Did anyone bring this shipping-cost issue up on the call?? I couldn't make it for the call but I was REALLY hoping that it would be addressed. I scanned Mel's post once but then it disappeared so I couldn't go back through it to see. I highly doubt Matia knows how serious this is. She's so open to suggestions and is SO good to her patients, there's NO WAY she'd let this go on if she knew how stressful it is for us!

No WE didn't talk about it but it has been talked before just not in great detail every time I have brought it up to her she says she has nothing to do with it and doesn't know what the costs are. I think next month we really do need to tackle it.

SO I have been told they do not handle the packaging of the herbs in the office fedex does it all and that is why the price is so high. They would have to pay or hire someone to do that. That makes me wonder what exactly do they do in the office with two people there? But there it is Ladies that is why the price is sooo high.
