it looks like iherb is out of eclectic institute goldenseal root and i don't see it on Matia's site I can only seem to find it on amazon and I have had problems ordering sups from them in the past. Where do you all get your goldensel from and do you know if there is any other brand she likes?

I think the goldenseal on their site is called : Hydrastis Canadensis - 100 Cap (Goldenseal Rhizome and root, this is written in small print).
I do not buy from the website since I'm a localite and I do get this goldenseal bottle from the office all the time.
You may still want to check with Lynn to confirm it.

I want to
make sure this is the right one to get... I need to get more goldenseal, I am still on one of the bottles I got when I went to see Matia... so I found this by Eclectic Institute on iherb... but is it the same thing? Only difference I see is it is 90 caps, doesn't say anything about total Alkaloids and is much cheaper. There are 2 versions by Eclectic Institute. One is standardized, the other is not. Sometimes it's hard to tell which one it is, because often the wrong picture is shown, but I'm pretty sure that the one that is standardized is always called "Goldenseal Root" and the other is just Goldenseal or Goldenseal herb. The standardized one is also typically more expensive, but it's hard to tell from that as well because sites price them so differently. It does seem like the one on the HerbsPro site is suspiciously cheap. Also looks like the link above to iHerb is the non-standardized one.

I think that link you posted is the one I always order-it just appears to me to have adifferent label look than the one on Bomamed maybe? the goldenseal we take I beleive is the rhizome and root- Matia had me take the 400 mg one. I think eclectic also makes a 300 mg one but I have never used that one. The natures Way goldenseal which I have used in a pinch since I can get it easily is a higher mg dose- like 540 mg or somethng and last time I took natures way when I ran out of eclectic institute it totally burned me - the higher dosage did it! So as long as the mg dosage and the goldenseal part you need- root? is listed on the bottle you should be good to go with that Iherb one.- Mary
