Since this started, I have had an itch on the side of my clitoris and a deep tissue itch on the labia below it. When I feel the skin of my labia there, it feels rough. The other side where there is no itch feels normal. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced any symptoms like this.

Definitely had the itch (can be itch, pain, tingling, you name it) but don't think the skin feels any different to me ... I've also found I tend only to have symptoms on one side (the right side) - so weird! Especially vaginal ones - always on the right side. Crazy, crazy condition ...
You probably have been
You probably have been scratching that spot more than you think. I was diagnosed with Lichens simplex or something like that (which just means itchy rough spot) when I first went to the urologist. Duh- she didin't think the itching was related to the IC!!!!! Anyway- I habe some of that rough skin too. You might be scratching in your sleep. It starts to get rough and then itches more. It's an itch scratch cycle.
The good news is- my itching is WAY better than it was.
