Dear all,
I have started having some flares with this condition. I never used to have them but this appears to b something new for me (oh joy). Do most people 'flare' with this condition or, like me previously, just had symptoms daily without flaring/ What does your flare feel like? Does anyone know why flaring is part of this condition? As ever, thanks for any insights.

Good question. I really don't knoe. My sister seems to have the kind of IC that only "flares" She has days of normal feeling and then she eats soemthing she shouldn't and she has pain etc.I have consistant discomfort (low level) and then I get what i would call flares.
I've never really understood
I've never really understood my flares. Sometimes its hormonal, I think with me sometimes periods of die off can cause a flare when I can see no other reason for it. Be careful about what you put on your skin. Soap/ shampoo etc.
Are you in contact with anyone else in the UK? Things on the gentle products list are not always available over here.

I dont understand why. I'm having burning with urinary frequency all day today and so tired of this. I wish I can make it go away, it hurts level 5 right now. Waiting to see if Dr. B replies back to me email soon. Last Saturday when I had a full blown out flare, I didnt eat anything different, so I'm wondering why again. I have my next call with her next Thursday so I will ask her to expain in detail what is going on with my current stage and why I have been getting more flares/frequency the past 2.5 weeks. I know I'm barely starting but I didnt think that I would be flaring or having more frequency...
