May 2012 be a great year of health and happiness for everyone. How are people doing at the moment, particualrly people who started in the autumn, and who are now at the 3-4 month mark. I'd love to hear of progress and what it's been like for you.
Happy New Year!
I was doing so well and then last night... I had to get up at least 5 times to pee. But its not a flareup, its more feeling like my kidneys have a dull pain and ovaries (?) had this dull pain which is restricting my urine flow. Each time I tried to pee, it was extremely slow with a dull ache. I've experienced this in the past (its been months actually since I have had this) but leaving me uneasy. The only new food I tried was real garlic (I didnt realize until I re-read List 2) that minimal cooked garlic is OK, so I tried it. The only other thing I can attribute it to as that my husband and I had a argument yesterday afternoon (emotional stress). I noticed the pain starting thereafter and throughout the night, leaving me with restless sleep. Has anyone ever had this type of pain? I'm waiting to see if this clears on its own before I email Dr. B. Its annoying since I'm constantly aware of it and having to try to pee. It could be worse, that I know.. Now if only I could pee wiith a normal flow, lol.
In terms of the 3 month mark, I will be there on Jan 7th! I'm looking forward to seeing how I do once I go back to work on Tuesday. I was able to get my hair colored for the 1st time this past Friday and did not flareup! What progress! Dr. B actually let me dye my hair about a month ago, but I wa scared to/not feeling well at all so I waited till last Friday knowing that IF I flared, it would be during a break from work. In my situation, I really do think that the hiccup in getting through this is stress/emotional anxiety. I'm learning that this is my main culprit. But I havent figured out how to fix this. Over the past 7 days while being away from work, my pain level has decreased from 3-4 down to 1-2. This is amazing! Again, I really do think that work related stress & anxiety plays a HUGE role on my overall well-being.
happy new year ladies.
yesterday was my end of 3rd month. so far i have to say, my urethral pain has gone down a bit. usually it's 6-7 and 3-4 right after i pee. lately, it's been between 2-5. couple of hrs throughout each day starting two weeks ago, yesterday and this morning was 2 until when my husband and my 2 yr old daughter came in, my pain went up to 6, lol. i think what triggered it was the fact that my hands were tied up in the kitchen and i was solo with sophia while all of our windows were open...mind you we live on the second floor and my husband was using the bathroom. when i couldn't see her, my pain just went up. i was shouting to my husband to hurry up and get out of the bathroom cause i was in pain. definitely, stress triggers ic. also, i don't wake up literally every hr to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. last 5 or 6 days, i was able to sleep 2 hr straight. so slowly, VERY slowly, i do see a change. the popping pressure from each initial pee is gone and my pain during my last cycle was 3 or 4 compared to 7 or 8. i no longer have the bunny droppings (so annoying) whenever i pee. my vaginal pain is easily triggered by the tiniest bump on the road and that seems to be better. overall, i do feel like i'm getting better very slowly....now i just want 2012 to go by fast.
