does anybody suffer with lower back pain?
I'm really struggling with back and hip pain and I cannot sit on a chair more than 30' without flaring a little. I've always had really bad lower back pain and I've taken lots of painkillers for that reason, in the past years I've seen different chiropractors and osteopaths but nobody has been able to fix the problem yet, I've done xrays and nothing major shows up. The only thing that has worked has been pilates, cycling, swimming and stretching, and still doing all that I I've never been ok 100%. The situation right now is complicated because I cannot exercise and that is really affecting the bladder on a daily basis, basically I do flare if I stand too much, sit more than 30' or I lift some weight.... so I don't really know how are we going to fix this if I cannot exercise... I have an appt with Matia on Tuesday but I'd love to hear from you ladies. I'm very concerned.
I am doing pretty well despite the back-bladder issue, fingers cross.
yes, since my ic pain came
yes, since my ic pain came into the picture, i've been walking a bit hutchbacked which causes my lower back pain. what i do is sit and stand for about 20 min. it's a bit akward, but sometimes i eat lunch standing up. i also have pain in my hips when i sleep on my sides for more than 30 min.
soniafa, have you tried laying down fetal position and gently rocking yourself side to side or forward and backwards? i do this sometimes and it helps with the hip pain too. another thing i do is put a heat pad on my lower back and that helps, too.
hi junie, yes i use a heat
hi junie,

Hi,Why are back/hip pain an issue with IC? Is this something that Dr. B can help with too or is it totally separate from IC and part of a general health pattern?
