Hi All:
I have been on the diet for 4 months and 14 days not that I am counting. I had to go backwards before I went forwards (stopped Elmiron) but now I am beginning to have some stretches of better days. Hallelujah! I am also starting to really crave fruit or anything sweet at the end of my meal and find myelf thinking about cheating. But this is not the subject of my rant. Instead, I am po'd because I cannot tolerate coffee or any kind fo tea currently, notwithstandng the fact that I am on List 2, having been bumped down from List 3. Are there any older timers who cannot tolerate anything but water? I long for those beverages...This am I had two sips of black tea and it showed up later. It was not a flare but increased sensitivity that lasted about 4 hours. Now it is better, thank heaven, but I would do anything for a nice cup of coffee with almond milk and some eventually to be permitted sweetener. Yum...

I feel your pain Bonnie! I have been on this diet for 16.5 months and not really on a list, tolerating most things on list 1, a couple veggies on list 2, a few items on list 3. I did get to add fruit at the end of 13 months, but had to remove because of pain. I would love to have something other than water to drink, or at least something to add to my water. I miss green tea, or lemon in my water! I dream of the day I will tolerate more things! I have been craving more sweets recently, but have stayed strong, and have not cheated on the diet from the start. I wonder if this is a good sign that the yeast is dying off and it is craving food to survive? I sure hope so! I am so over this, and always in fear of eating wondering how my body will tolerate! I know we will get there sooner or later! Hang in there and happy healing!
