Breast Pain

Hi all: I am nearing the end of my 6th month of treatment. For about the last month, I have had breast pain in a strange place in my right breast. It is unlike any pain I have had in the past associated with periods etc. Dr. B thinks it is probably a lymph node and associated with stuff clearing out. I am going to wait a little while longer before going and getting an ultrasound or a mammogram since I am not overdue and I have serious concerns about irradiating the breasts. My gyno, of course, says go immediately. Any prior experience with weird breast stuff is much appreciated:)

Hello Bonnie! I too have had the not so typical period related breast pain. Mine was located in L breast, could feel a lump and was tender in that whole area. Dr. B suggested I get it looked at when my gyno also detected a lump. I had an ultrasound done and it appeared to be more lymph related and normal tissue changes. The ultrasound is nothing major to worry about, and might be good to have it done, just to ease your mind!

Breast pain in my left breast has been one of my main issues for years.
It's on the left side of the left breast and is very sharp sometimes, but mostly just a dull tender pain for 2 weeks leading up to my period.  I always knew it was hormonally related because it would completely disappear as soon as I got my period and would gradually get worse the closer I got to my period.  I had numerous ultrasounds and exams over the years, always to no avail (gratefully).  The doctors and technicians looked at me like I was crazy normally. They even told me to stop wearing an underwire bra (yeah, right, I am a 36D). Not saying you shouldn't get it checeked out, whatever will put your mind at ease and especially if it is a new pain for you.  But I have noticed, through treatment, this pain has come and gone and come back again, but less intense.  Very much lymph connected I feel and I try to just trust Matia when she tells me that.
