Is broccolini on list 1 or 2?  Here is a description of it.

Broccolini is a green vegetable similar to broccoli but with small florets and long, thin stalks. Although often misidentified as young broccoli, it is a cross between broccoli and kai-lan, Chinese broccoli. A natural hybrid of the cabbage family Brassica oleracea, it was developed by the Sakata Seed Company of Yokohama, Japan. Broccolini's flavor is sweet, with notes of both broccoli and asparagus.

Kai-lan, also known as Gai Lan, Chinese broccoli or Chinese kale, is a leaf vegetable featuring thick, flat, glossy blue-green leaves with thick stems and a small number of tiny, almost vestigial flower heads similar to those of broccoli. As the Alboglabra group of Brassica oleracea, kai-lan is of the same species of plant as broccoli and kale. Its flavor is very similar to that of broccoli, but more bitter and a bit sweeter.

I have been on list 1 for a year and am hoping to go to list 2 next month.  This week, I had a bite of it at a restaurant with no problems.  Let me know when you tried it.

Hi Sharon...before treatment w/Matia...I had a major experience w/broccolini, thinking I could handle it as broccoli was no prob. Well! I had a memorable life reaction and have not tried it since...may be alright for me now, but caused my worse flair before treatment  so am very nervous to try it..I recall Matia saying to go  carefully w/Chinese veg......lois
