With winter cold upon us now, I'm wondering if there are any great soups which we can share that we can actually eat from each List.  I'm currently in between List 1 and 2 and being that I'm always cold (an symption which Matia assures me can be fixed with time), I really shouldnt complain since I live in San Diego, CA but this past week its been so chilly (low 60's) and being cold already, doesnt make it any easier.  That being said, was wantinng to see if you can share any great soup recipes.  Today, I tried oxtail for the first time.  The calorie intake is scarce BUT it was tasty.  It was more like a consume... I threw in a pot of water, the oxtail soup bones, 1 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of granulated garlic and let it simmer for about 1.5 hours.  Very basic but it was good.  ** Note:  I'm checking with Dr. B is oxtail is allowed and will post back since I have had frequency with some burning today, BUT not 100% sure if this is why or something else I may have eaten yesterday...

Beef Bone soup - full of nutrients and very super fatty but the bone marrow has alot of amazing nutrients.  Same concept as above but this one I let simmer for 3-5 hours so the meat can fall off the bone.  I used the broth for my rice to give it extra flavor.  I added broccoli and chicken and rice at the end.  Very yummy.  I did ask Dr. B about this soup about 5 weeks ago and she told me as long as it doesnt bother me, its totally OK.

Ay other ideas, would be greatly appreciated.

Adriane- I make a roasted chicken and then a stock from the carcass. I just recently was able to try yellow pepper (still ot sure if that's ok...sigh) anyway- this was delicious
chicken broth with  red potato, finely  finely chopped yellow pepper and celery, plenty of sea salt
cook for a long time to soften the pepper completely plus she told me to be sure the peppers were thoroughly cooked to avoid reaction.

I just made chicken soup today.  I simmered a whole organic chicken in spring water yesterday, then I let the fat come to the top in the fridge overnight and skimmed it off this morning.  Then I added what vegetables I tolerate and also some potatoes.  I cut up the chicken and added it at the end.  It is cold here too, down below freezing at night and highs in the 40's during the day.  I bought some beef marrow bones and will try making a broth out of those too along with some organic beef.  I had to get non organic bones as that is all the supermarket had.
