Hey there--

My mom introduced me (she also goes to Matia) to these fabulous junk food noodles from trader joes--they are rice noodles similar to the pad thai noodles.  They are a junk food substitute!  I just cook them, fry them up, and throw in all kinds of veggies, onions and lots and lots of egg and meat.  Its good for those times you really miss Asian food!

Do they have a specific name or just trader joes rice noodles?

They are called "Trader Joe's Pad Thai Rice Sticks".  The package is orange and pink.

I picked up some trader Joe sticks last night.  I wanted to tell you about another snack.  You can get plain brown rice snaps at Whole Foods.  I take them and put olive oil on them with sea salt.  I bake them at 350 for 14 minutes.  I take them out and put a little garlic powder on them.  They are very crunchy and satisfy my crunch salt craving.

They are called Thai rice noodles in the oriental section.

Tonight, I had one of the best List 1 meals ever.  My husband boiled Tinkyada Pasta Joy Ready fettucini style pad thai rice noodle.  Then he chopped yellow squash lengthwise into thin strips and stir fried them using a quality annodized wok.  Then, he cut up dark chicken thighs and stir fried them separately.  Then, he added the noodles and squash back ino the wok and stir fried them together.  I couldn't beleive the bold flavor of this dish.  I felt like I was eating at a Mongolain Barbeque ;0)
