For people who have been in treatment for a while how long did it take for your hormones to start balancing out? I'm doing ok most of the time but day 11-15 of my cycle I get that maddening constant urge feeling. I also get bad period cramps and wonder ehrn rose will go away.

That is the question of the year? I have been asking since the beginning of treatment nearly 4 years ago! Still waiting to find out! :( I have seen major changes though getting period nearly every 30-60 days now instead of maybe 3-4x/year. Unfortunately, though the other awful symptoms that go along with my periods have not changed. Still severe cramping to the point of throwing up, major mood swings, yeast issues, and major urgency. I suppose need to be thankful moving away from perimenopause. Hopefully someone can give you so more positive feedback on this subject! Sorry, that was a Debbie downer post! But, I do understand your wanting to have an answer and some idea of time line!!!

For me, it has varied. My period has overall been improving but not every month and not in a predictable linear patter. I think the fact that you are more regular is a good sign. Sieze every opportunity for hope. One thing is for sure witht this treatment and disease, it is not always predictable and it changes often.

I'm 56 years old and still having periods on and off. I had horrible hormone issues before starting treatment and they have all improved. I'm sure for you younger girls it will be different but I believe it will improve. Like Deir says though it is a constant change with this disease so seize all the good you can :)

I am 55 and I had a hysterectomy when I was 35 so the only way I could tell anything was by hot flashes and night sweats. DR M had me on RP for a long time and everything evened out, no more hot flashes or night sweats. I don't really know if I am done with menopause or if she just balanced my hormones out.
I don't have painful periods
I don't have painful periods and don't know when they are coming now. Still dealing with 1-2 days of increased bladder sx around ovulation. I was having regular periods, but recently cut grains and starches so since then I am not having a period yet. Hopefully soon after my body gets used to the low carb thing, or else after I add back carbs. Good sign that your cycles are more regular.
If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.
Since starting the treatment
Since starting the treatment my periods have been very regular. My cycles last between 25 or 26 days. During ovulation my bladder pain and urgency increase a little bit, same around my period and on day 7 or 8 for some reason. My periods are sometimes not painful at all and other times it hurts a little bit. I can see no pattern of particular order. At least I don´t have crazy cramps anymore like I used to in the beginning of treatment and before. I use a cycle app on my phone. This way I always know when to expect things to change.
