Help- Need Menopause Advice

Hi- I hope someone can help with this. I am 53, still on HRT and having lots of menopause symptoms which I feel must be aggravating my bladder. I tried to go off a couple of weeks ago and I pretty much stopped sleeping. But I feel like I am in  a catch 22 since Dr. B thinks that the hormones are agggravating my bladder. I have a very busy job and I am afraid to stay on but feel as if I would need to take a week off of work to deal with no sleep. I can't do that for at least 2 months. I am very discouraged today. Trying hard but feeling very dragged out and tired of feeling unwell. Please send all pearls of wisdom my way.  Thank you! Bonnie

Hi.... Did you email Dr. B? Maybe she can add in an herb so you can get some sleep..... Tell her if you don't get sleep then you can't work, and you really need something... She can help.

I know how it feels, I have a busy job too. Today I am not having such a great day... but I am here, and my Boss understands so she tries to leave me alone on these days... I don't do as much as I used to, but sometimes just being present is good enough... Good luck and hang in there.

difficult it is not to sleep, Bonnie. I am 51 and suffer with menopausal symptoms as well. I have also suffered hot flashes day and night, which wakes me up when I do finally fall asleep. My sleep pattern since I've been in treatment for five months is waking up every 2 hours. At first I couldn't fall back asleep very easily when I did wake up, but as treatment progressed I could fall back asleep, although I continued to wake up all through the night  on a regular basis. Then she added Bif into my protoco very recently, and the hot flashes finally stopped. Dr. B said it would cool things down a bit, and it sure did. This also improved my sleep. It will get better as your treatment progresses. I hope you get some much needed rest soon. A big hug sent to you. :)

Matia's treatment might be a tough process in the beginning, but it will be worth it in the long run. You may have more problems later if you continue on the HRT.

Thank you both for writing in. I will read the articles. I asked Dr. B if most of her patients were young and she said yes in the US and no in the UK. I really appreciate the solidarity. Today especially. Bonnie

This is to Mrs. A and to others who were nice enough to write me back. Do people sometimes get worse before they get better without it meaning that they are losing ground?

I speak out of my own experience that I felt a lot of times some of my symptoms seemed to be getting worse, yet I was getting better. For example, I was already experiencing hot flashes due to menopause when I went into treatment five months ago. Once I started treatment, I was really experiencing hot flashes. Like all day and all night. It was crazy. I remember telling my mom about it, and she told me to just embrace them. So I did. I really thought I would have them all of my treatment, but with one switch of my protocol on my last appointment, and I haven't had one hot flash. It still amazes me.
